Why the government should change its mind.
The evidence continues to mount that the State Government does not need to sell-off profitable, state-owned assets. Queensland's economy is performing well with the recent federal budget indicating higher than expected growth in the coming 12 months - particularly for resource-rich states like Queensland.
Plus, the respected Access Economics recently predicted Queensland's budget would be $11 billion stronger over the next four years than current State Government forecasts.
One year ago the State Government announced its $15 billion asset sell-off.
